    Safety First! We recommend everyone to have a general medical evaluation prior to starting a weight loss program for several reasons:

    • To make sure you don't have any active medical problems that would make it unsafe for you to start a weight loss program

    • To detect and treat any medical issues that might have contributed to previous unsuccessful weight loss attempts and to maximize your chances for success this time

    • If you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure and other metabolic diseases, your medication doses will need to be reduced (or discontinued) as you lose weight on this program.
